Prix Boubou Hama
The Prix Boubou Hama (Boubou Hama Prize) is a national literary prize in Niger .
It has been awarded by the government to Nigerien writers and scholars at irregular intervals since 1989 . The award is named after the Nigerien author and politician Boubou Hama (1906–1982). The initiative to create the award came from the film director Inoussa Ousséïni . Initially endowed with one million CFA francs , the prize money was increased to two million CFA francs in 2015.
