Product designer textile

The textile product designer is a state-recognized training occupation according to the Vocational Training Act .

Duration of training and structure

The training period to become a textile product designer is usually three years. The training takes place at the training company and vocational school .

Work areas

Textile product designers use graphic design systems to create designs for woven and knitted goods , textile prints , textile floor coverings and technical textiles . They either implement customer requirements or become creative themselves in order to present their own designs to the customer. Textile product designers work in sample departments in the textile and clothing industry .
