Project Blowed
Project Blowed is an American independent label for hip-hop music, which was formed from an association of hip-hop artists, mainly freestyle rappers and MCs from Los Angeles , California . It is considered the center of independent West Coast hip hop .
Originally, Project Blowed (still without its later name) in a small grocery store in northern Los Angeles is said to have been a platform for aspiring rappers and MCs from the area. Every Thursday evening the local hip-hop scene met to exchange ideas, battle and simply celebrate their culture, away from major labels , The Source and MTV . After moving to the south of the city, Project Blowed got its name and became a label for rap music. It sees itself as an organization that is committed to the hip-hop culture with its four elements ( graffiti , rap , DJing , B-boying ) and wants to represent it through its work.
The most famous artists include Aceyalone , Busdriver , Abstract Rude , Medusa and Planet Asia .
