Project Itoh

Project Itoh (伊藤 計劃; civil Satoshi Ito , 伊藤 聡, born October 14, 1974 in Tokyo ; † March 20, 2009 in Tokyo) was a Japanese science fiction writer and web designer.

Life and work

Born in Tokyo on October 14, 1974, he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Sciences at Musashino Art University. While working as a web designer, he wrote "Genocidal Organ" and submitted it to the "Komatsu Sakyō Award 2006". Although he did not win the award, his work was published by Hayakawa Shobō in 2007 and was nominated for the Nihon SF Taisho Award .

Itoh has been treated for recurring cancer since 2001. He died in March 2009 at the age of 34.

For the Playstation 3 game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots , which appeared in 2008, he wrote down the history of the game in book form.

Since 2007 he has worked on some works with Toh Enjoe. In January 2012, Enjoe announced at a press conference that he would complete Itoh's unfinished novel "The Empire of Corpses". The work was released in August 2012 and received the special prize of the “Nihon SF Taisho Awards”.

"Noitamina" a program block of Fuji Television , the anime prescribed, announced that three will appear by Satoshi Itohs novels as anime films, each each produced by a different studio. “Genocidal Organ” is produced by Manglobe , “Harmony” in Studio 4 ° C and “The Empire of Corpses” in Studio Wit .
