Prokoško jezero is a glacial lake on the Vranica massif in Bosnia-Herzegovina .
The lake is located at an altitude of 1670 m at a road distance of 22 kilometers west of Fojnica . From a point just above Fojnica, the access road is no longer paved. The north side of the lake in particular is surrounded by many wooden huts that serve as accommodation for shepherds and forest fruit pickers. Due to its idyllic location, it is increasingly used for tourism. An endemic species of Triturus- tailed amphibian can be found in the lake .
