Promoe (born April 28, 1976 in the municipality of Västerås ; real name Mårten Edh ) is a Swedish rapper . He is co-founder of the hip-hop combo Looptroop (now renamed Looptroop Rockers), which is also very popular outside the Swedish borders.

Career

Promoe claims to have been involved in hip-hop culture from 1986, initially working as a graffiti artist. From 1991 he was also active as an MC. A year or two later he co-founded Looptroop with DJ Embee and Cosmic. With the 'LTR25' campaign, the group has officially been celebrating its 25th anniversary since April 28, 2017 with 25 releases in 25 weeks, with various solo songs by Promoe being released as part of this download series in addition to the crew singles. In 2001 Promoe released his first solo album, which was followed by a number of others. Promoe is an anarchist , his texts are largely socially critical and left-activist.
