Building on Prospekt Pobedy

On the eastern section of Prospect Pobedy, in the area of the villa district Amalienau , which was built from 1901 onwards, there are several historical buildings that survived the air raids on Königsberg and the subsequent battle for Königsberg . Following the course of the road from northeast to southwest are:

  • Villa Honcamp is located at the intersection of Prospect Pobedy and Borodinskaja ul. (Borodinskaja ul. 17, formerly Haarbrückenstraße 17/19 ; ). It was built around 1903/1905 in neo -baroque style based on a design by Friedrich Heitmann for the factory owner Honcamp. "With the massive, sophisticated-looking exterior, Heitmann continues his eclectic style of design in a baroque variety". The Schtinski Villa (Borodinskaja ul. 13/15, ), built in 1906 according to plans by August Gerschmann, and an Art Nouveau villa built by Heitmann in 1905 (Borodinskaja ul. 12/14, ) are also at this intersection .
  • The Villa Schmidt at Prospekt Pobedy 24 (formerly Lawsker Allee 30 ; ) is now used as a municipal kindergarten. The building was built around 1903 in the neo-renaissance style.
  • The Villa Leo at ul. Kaschtanowaja Alleja 16 (formerly Lawsker Allee 32/34 ; ) was built in 1902 according to plans by Heitmann for the city council and shipowner Ludwig Leo in a country style.
  • The Adalbertkirche on Prospekt Pobedy 41 (formerly Lawsker Allee 35 / Kastanienallee 11–13 ; ) was built in 1904 according to designs by Heitmann in the neo-Gothic style. Today there is a research institute in the choir and in the tower.
