At the beginning of the 2013 season, the former DTM driver Christian Abt took over the position of team boss and founded Prosperia C. Abt Racing in its current form together with Slobodan Cvetkovic. Since then, this motorsport team has been operating under the name Prosperia C. Abt Racing GmbH. Prosperia C. Abt Racing achieved an important sporting success in 2013: After a total of 16 races in eight events, the team took first place with 217 points in the team standings - and decide on team evaluation.
