Prospero Gallinari

Prospero Gallinari (born January 1, 1951 in Reggio nell'Emilia , † January 14, 2013 ibid) was an Italian ex-terrorist and high-ranking member of the Red Brigades . Gallinari was long considered the murderer of Aldo Moro .

life and work

Gallinari came from a communist family. He joined the Federazione Giovanile Comunista Italiana , the youth organization of the Italian Communist Party, at an early age . He was one of the founding members of the Red Brigades in the early 1970s. For a long time he was considered the murderer of Aldo Moro and was seen by the state organs as the mastermind behind the action. Today it is known that Gallinari was involved in the kidnapping. The murderer of Moro was Mario Moretti .

Gallinari presumably died of a heart attack at the age of 62.
