Protasius of Lausanne
Protasius of Lausanne († around 650 in the canton of Vaud , Switzerland ) was Bishop of Lausanne in the 7th century and is a saint of the Roman Catholic Church .
Very little is known about his life. He helped build the monastery in loco Balmensi ( Baulmes ). Protasius died during a trip to the Jura, where he wanted to procure wood for the new building of the cathedral in Lausanne . He was buried in Saint-Prex on the shores of Lake Geneva .
His feast day is November 6th.
