Prowler was an American power and thrash metal band from New York City , New York that was formed in 1984 and broke up around 1988.
history
The band was formed in 1984 and consisted of singer Steve Fienroth, guitarists Chris Carroll and Mike Mano, bassist Meinghis Rheding and drummer Jerr Whitney. This was followed by local appearances with TT Quick , Metal Church , Wendy O. Williams , Overkill and Hades , as well as the three-song EP Prowling Death Squad via Tursha Records in 1986. Another EP was released under the same name in 1988 via New Renaissance Records , which in addition to the already three known songs, Lick the Knife and In Your Boots, contained two more songs. After the release, the band broke up a little later.
style
The band played a mix of power and thrash metal; the works are compared with those of Exciter . Vocally the band can be compared to Exodus .
