Psychopathic Terror is a Finnish metal band from Tampere that was formed in 2003.
history
The band was formed in early 2003. In the summer of the same year, the debut album was recorded, which was released in July 2006 on the Finnish label Serpent's Eye Distribution . Worldwide distribution was taken over by Firebox Records . The second album 230204 was released in November 2008 on the Spanish label Temple of Darkness Records . It was distributed in Finland by Firebox Records and worldwide by Code7 and Plastic Head Distribution . After the two albums Revolt (2011) and 4: You Shall Not Destroy (2013), the album War Against the Global Maze of Tyranny followed in 2015 on Dark Blasphemies Records .

Olvido from Metal.de wrote about 230204 that classic Death Metal , which Johansson and Ilvespakka had already played with Depravity in the 1990s , is reviving. The music is particularly reminiscent of that of Unleashed and Bolt Thrower . Except for a fast drum intro, the songs are almost always in the medium speed range. Rather, focus on the groove by going riff-oriented . Wes Rhodes from voicesfromthedarkside.de also reviewed the album and drew comparisons to Nasum and Necrony and described the music as aggressive Grindcore , Death Metal and Goregrind . The music would also fit well with a band like Napalm Death . Anders Peter Jørgensen, also from voicesfromthedarkside.de , wrote about 4: You Shall Not Destroy that the band has now moved away from the classic mix of Thrash and Death Metal they played at the time and are now also incorporating industrial metal influences. The latter would be particularly evident in passages with electronic sounds. The industrial elements would not make the songs sound like typical industrial, but more like a kind of “ ambient techno ”. The music as a whole is aggressive and occasionally influences from Grindcore are incorporated into the songs. The texts would mostly deal with serious issues. The bass sounds heavily distorted, the drums clinical.
