Necrony was a Swedish deathgrind band from Örebro , which was founded in 1990 under the name Necrotony and disbanded in 1996.
history
The band was founded in the summer of 1990 under the name Necrotony and consisted of guitarist, bassist and singer Anders Jakobson and singer and drummer Rickard Alriksson. After a short time under a different name, the band renamed itself Necrony. In 1991 the first demo Severe Malignant Pustule followed . Dan Wall played the guitar on the demo. In the same year, the limited yellow vinyl single Mucu-Purulent Miscarriage was released . The debut album Pathological Performances followed in 1993 . Dan Swanö ( Edge of Sanity ) and Johan Liiva ( Carnage ) were there as guest musicians . On the 1994 EP Necronycism: Distorting the Originals , on which the band covered artists such as Carcass , Napalm Death , Carnage, Repulsion , Bolt Thrower and Impetigo , Dan Swanö was again to be heard as a guest musician. In the same year the demo promo tape 93-94 appeared , on which the band consisted of the bassist Daniel Andersson in addition to Jakobson and Alriksson. In 2005, the compilation Poserslaughter Classics Remasters appeared , which, however, had not been licensed by the band. In 1996 the band broke up, so Jakobson and Alriksson could devote themselves to their previous side project, Nasum .
style
The band played a mix of grindcore and death metal on their album Pathological Performances , the songs being heavily influenced by Carcass. The guttural singing is extremely deep. Occasionally, non-genre instruments such as a flute were used in the songs .
