Publius Cornelius Dolabella (Consul 283 BC)
Publius Cornelius Dolabella from the Cornelier family was born in 283 BC. BC together with Gnaeus Domitius Calvinus Maximus consul of the Roman Republic .
In the battle of the Vadimonian Sea , the army he led defeated the Gauls and Etruscans, who were allied with one another . This victory cemented Roman domination over the Etruscans.
279 BC Dolabella was sent to King Pyrrhos I together with Gaius Fabricius Luscinus and Quintus Aemilius Papus to negotiate the exchange of prisoners.
