The second battle at the Vadimonischen See probably took place in 283 BC. Instead of. The Roman troops faced an army of Gauls ( Senones and Boians ) and Etruscans . The Roman army was commanded by the consul Publius Cornelius Dolabella . The Romans remained victorious in the battle and thus ensured that the Etruscans were finally subjected to Roman rule.
