Puentedey is a Spanish town in the province of Burgos in the autonomous community of Castile and León . The place belongs to the municipality of Merindad de Valdeporres . Puentedey can be reached via the BU-561 road and is 86 kilometers north of the provincial capital of Burgos and 9.5 kilometers southeast of Pedrosa de Valdeporres .

The river Nela flows through the place and forms a natural bridge with the breakthrough of the rock.

Population development

In 1955, the place had 222 inhabitants, which decreased to 58 by 2007. Today Puentedey has 21 inhabitants.

  • Romanesque church of San Pelayo , with a figure of the Madonna and Child from the 13th century
