Puggy is a Belgian pop band that was formed in 2005. It consists of the English singer and guitarist Matthew Irons, the French bassist Romain Descampe and the Swedish drummer Egil "Ziggy" Franzén. Since the band members met in Belgium, they refer to themselves as a Belgian band. She plays a mix of pop and acoustic rock music.
history
Irons and Descampe met in Antwerp , where they both studied music. Franzén was a friend of Descampe, whom he introduced to Irons. With the single When You Know they reached number 6 in the Walloon Ultratop 40 charts in 2010 and with the album Something You Might Like they had some success, especially in France and Wallonia, where the album rose to position 2 in the charts . The following album, To Win the World , even reached the top of the Walloon charts in 2013 and was able to place itself in both France and Flanders .
In other countries
One of their songs, We had it made (in German We have it make leave ) was in Spain by Atresmedia used group for the name change, this happened on March 6, 2013.
Puggy played at numerous festivals in Belgium such as the Main Square Festival, Schoolrock, Rock Ternat and Bruksellive, as well as at Paaspop in the Netherlands in 2014 . They also opened up for Deep Purple , Smashing Pumpkins and Incubus .
