Kürtül was a municipality in the central district of the Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş and has been part of the newly created municipality of Onikişubat in the district of the same name since the municipal reform in 2014 . It is located about 15 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital Kahramanmaraş on the D-825 road from Kahramanmaraş to Göksun .
The late Hittite stele of Kürtül was found in a field in 1963 about seven kilometers southwest of the village of İsmailli .
