The Punt d'En Vulpera / Tarasp ( [ˌpʊntˈdeːn] ? / I , Rhaeto-Romanic in the idiom Vallader for "Innbrücke Vulpera / Tarasp") is a high bridge in the Lower Engadine in Graubünden , which was opened to traffic on October 10, 2010. It connects the Engadinerstrasse with the Scuol spa town of Vulpera and spans the Inn . The bridge became necessary because the winding and confusing old connecting road from Nairs to Vulpera no longer met safety requirements, especially in winter. Audio file / audio sample

The concrete bridge is built on an abutment on both sides and rests on two pillars. It lies about 50 meters above the river and has a total length of 236 meters with a roadway width of 6 meters. A 1.50 meter wide strip is reserved for non-motorized traffic .

The Inn Bridge was built between 2007 and 2010 using cantilever construction. The construction costs amounted to 15.9 million Swiss francs, making the bridge the largest infrastructure project in the Lower Engadine since the Vereina tunnel was built .
