Punt van Reide is a Dutch peninsula in the Dollart .

It is located in the province of Groningen about 3 kilometers east of the municipality of Delfzijl belonging resort Termunten , directly on the border with German territorial waters (in the Dutch believe that the border is a little further north ). It forms a natural border between the Dollart and the Ems estuary .

The headland is a good 3 kilometers long, up to 800 meters wide and reaches a maximum height of 2.4  m NAP .

Up until the 16th century there were the two partially fortified villages Westerreide and Osterreide as well as a monastery on the then significantly larger, now uninhabited peninsula , of which hardly any remains have survived today. Punt van Reide is part of the large nature reserve of Dollart.
