Punta Mary is a headland on the east coast of Kopaitic Island in the Duroch Islands group northwest of the Antarctic Peninsula .
Scientists of the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–1948) named it after the wife of Jorge Gándara Bofill, captain of the Covadonga on this research trip .
