Punta Negra is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the Maldonado department in sector 3 . Punta Negra is located on the coast of the Río de la Plata east of Punta Colorada and a few kilometers west of Sauce de Portezuelo . The Arroyo de la Barra Falsa rises a few kilometers to the north .
Residents
Punta Negra had 178 inhabitants in 2011, 97 of them male and 81 female.
