Punta Oeste (from Spanish oeste 'west' ) is a headland in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the north side of Cape Shirreff , the northern branch of the John Paul II peninsula , it is north-northeast of Playa Nibaldo .
Scientists from the 46th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1991–1992) named them.
