Punta Oliva is a headland in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the north of Cape Shirreff , the northern extension of the John Paul II peninsula , it is northeast of Playa Alcázar .
Chilean scientists named it after Doris Oliva Eklund, a participant in the 39th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1984–1985).
