Puntas de Cinco Sauces is a town in Uruguay .
geography
Puntas de Cinco Sauces is located in the Tacuarembó Department in Sector 8 in the Cuchilla de Pereira . The closest settlements are in the southwest Punta de Carretera and in the south Las Toscas , while in the west Pueblo del Barro and Ansina can be found. The area extending in the north is called Cuchilla del Marco , in the southwest of the Cuchilla de Pereira is the Cuchilla del Hospital . The Cerro Conversas , the Cerro Grande and the Cerro de las Quejas are a few kilometers east to southeast of the town . Five rivers have their source in the immediate vicinity of the village. These are the Bañado de los Cinco Sauces , the Bañado de Fagúndez , the Arroyo del Moribundo , the Arroyo de María Mole and the Bañado de los Molles .
Residents
At the 2011 Census, the population of Puntas de Cinco Sauces was 51, of which 28 were male and 23 were female. The Instituto Nacional de Estadística de Uruguay did not collect any data for the previous censuses in 1963, 1975, 1985 and 1996 .
