history
In the 17th century there was a manor house and a brewery belonging to the von der Beke family from Gdańsk. At the beginning of the 19th century, the first inn was built on the lake. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the small town of Heubude developed into a popular seaside resort near the city. The lake in the forest was part of the spa garden and offered numerous attractions. With the tram connection, day tourism took a brisk boom.
After 1945 tourism on the lake came to a standstill. The place Stogi developed into a dormitory city and towards the end of the 20th century the port, logistics companies and the Gdańsk refinery had moved closer to the place.
traffic
The Stogi Pasanil stop of tram lines 3 and 8 is just 300 meters from the lake.
