The Putney Old Burial Ground is a cemetery in Putney , London . It was opened in 1763 and has an area of ​​0.34 hectares. The land was a gift from Rev. Roger Pettiward. The area is on Upper Richmond Road. Before that, St. Mary's Church graveyard had been full. In 1854 the cemetery was closed for funerals. In 1886 the cemetery opened as a park, with graves and monuments being preserved. In 2008 the London Borough of Wandsworth restored 18th century tombs for £ 43,000.

The archaeologist Robert Wood is buried in the cemetery.
