Putuo (Zhoushan)
The municipality of Putuo ( Chinese 普陀 区 , Pinyin Pǔtuó Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Zhoushan in the southeast Chinese province of Zhejiang . In 2002 it had 320,000 inhabitants.
Administrative structure
At the community level, Putuo is made up of three street districts , seven large communities and four communities. These are:
- Shenjiamen Street District沈家门 街道
- Donggang Street 东 港 街道
- Goushan Street District勾 山 街道
- Greater community Liuheng六横镇
- Greater community Zhujiajian朱家尖镇
- Greater community Zhanmao展茅镇
- Greater community Taohua桃花镇
- Greater community Xiazhi虾峙镇
- Greater community Putuoshan普陀山镇
- Greater community Dongji东极镇
Wooden shipbuilding
Putuo’s traditional wooden shipbuilding is on the People’s Republic of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List (No. 920) , along with that from Xinghua兴化 市 in Jiangsu Province .
