The impact crater Pwyll was named after Pwyll from Welsh mythology and is one of the most recent appearances on the surface of Jupiter's moon Europa .
Pwyll's noticeably darker center has a diameter of around 26 km with a peak that is around 600 m high. Luminous lines of rubble radiate hundreds of kilometers from the center outwards. The white debris or spit lies on the surface. This shows that the crater is younger than its surroundings. Due to the light white color, it is assumed that the rubble is interspersed with ice particles.
