Pynchon Notes was a biannual magazine published since 1979, which was devoted to the work of the American writer Thomas Pynchon .

The Pynchon Notes were founded and edited by John M. Krafft of Miami University and Khachig Tölölyan of Wesleyan University , with Bernard Duyfhuizen of the University of Wisconsin as third editor . The magazine was published by Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood , New York .

The first part of the Pynchon Notes contains articles dealing with the work of Thomas Pynchon, as well as articles on literary theory , American studies , political and historical studies , postmodernism and postcolonialism in which the authors deal with Pynchon's work. The second part offers reviews and a bibliography of newly published secondary literature on Pynchon.

The magazine has ceased publication.
