QNAP Systems, Inc. ( Chinese  威 聯通 科技 ) is a Taiwanese company that specializes in providing network solutions for file sharing and virtualization (IT) . QNAP stands for "Quality Network Appliance Provider". The company is a manufacturer of network attached storage systems (NAS) and NVR video surveillance solutions.

QNAP was founded in 2004 as a subsidiary of IEI Integration Corporation. QNAP was originally the Internet Appliance Department in the IEI group, where it was responsible for telecommunications. In 2004 the department was renamed “QNAP System Inc.” and became an independent company owned by the IEI group.

The head office has been in Taipei , Taiwan since 2004 . QNAP also has offices in Pomona, California , Beijing , Shanghai , Shenzhen , United Kingdom , the Netherlands and Germany .
