Qarabağlar is a village in Kəngərli Rayon in Azerbaijan . With more than 5000 inhabitants, it is about the same size as the Qıvraq district, 7 km to the southwest .
The place used to be an important city between Yerevan and Nakhchivan with over ten thousand buildings, 70 mosques, 40 minarets and other public buildings. Only the ruins of the cultic center with the mausoleum of Jahan Kudi Chatun are preserved.
