Zhang Qifa
Qifa Zhang ( Chinese 张 启发 ; born December 19, 1953 in Gong'an County , Hubei ) is a Chinese geneticist. Zhang is the most cited agricultural scientist from China and a member of the American National Academy of Sciences .
Life
Qifa Zhang received his PhD from the University of California, Davis in 1985 and has been a professor at the Agricultural University in Wuhan ever since . He has been working on deciphering the rice genome for decades and developed a. a. the Bt63 - rice .
