Qin Kanying (born February 2, 1974 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese chess player and women's chess grandmaster .

Life

Qin Kanying reached the finals of the Women's World Chess Championship in 2000 and became Chinese Women's Champion in 1988, 1991, 1995, 1999, and 2004. She took part in the 1990 , 1992, and 1994 Chess Olympiads with the Chinese women's team and achieved three appearances in all third place; In 1992 she also achieved the third-best individual result on the reserve board. In the Chinese team championship, Qin played for Shanghai in 2005 and 2006, and for Hebei in 2008.

Qin is married to the chess grandmaster Peng Xiaomin , who also trains her .
