The Qom (other transcription: Qom ) is a river in Iran , by the same city Qom flows. It is fed by water from the Zagros Mountains and flows into the Namak salt lake . Together with the Qareh , it reaches a length of about 400 kilometers. The water flow fluctuates between four and 312 cubic meters per second, also influenced by water withdrawals for irrigation. Nevertheless, it is one of the few rivers in Iran that permanently carry water.
