Qoqaarissorsuaq (according to the old spelling K'oĸârigssorssuaĸ ; German large shady water ) is an uninhabited island in the Upernavik district in the Avannaata Kommunia , Greenland . The island is one of the many islands in the Upernavik Archipelago .
geography
The egg-shaped island is located in Tasiusaq Bay , in the central part of the Upernavik Archipelago . The bay's waterways divide the island from the surrounding islands: Ateqanngitsorsuaq in the southwest, Tasiusaq in the west through the Simiuttap Ikerasaa waterway , Anarusuk in the north, Aakarnersuaq in the northeast and small islands and skerries in the south and southeast.
The highest point is an unnamed mountain in the north with a height of 590 meters.
