The QUIPAR or Río QUIPAR (from the Arabic Al Quipir derived) is a river in the region of Murcia in Spain . It is a right tributary of the Río Segura .

The approximately 70 km long river has its source in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz in the province of Murcia , where several source streams, including the Rambla de Terragoya , join. It flows parallel to the north running Río Argos to Cehegín over and crossed just before its confluence with the Rio Segura the reservoir Embalse de Alfonso XIII . The confluence takes place in the small reservoir Embalse de Almadenes east of Calasparra .
