The Quartet Tarragó was a Catalan chamber music ensemble consisting of four classical guitars , founded in 1971 by Gracià Tarragó in Barcelona.

Members of the quartet were the guitarist Laura Almerich and the guitarists Manuel Calve (* 1947), Jordi Codina and Jaume Torrent . The latter replaced Josep Henríquez (* 1951) in 1976 .

The quartet has given concerts in major European and North American concert halls for almost 18 years. Due to the great professionalism of this quartet, Catalan and foreign composers were encouraged to compose works especially for this ensemble. The Quartet Tarragó opened the European Music Year 1985 with a concert after being invited by the Council of Europe . In 1988 the quartet broke up.
