The Quilty Nunatakker are a 13 km long group of Nunatakkers not far from the Orville coast in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . They tower 15 miles southwest of the Thomas Mountains .
They were discovered during the US Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Patrick G. Quilty (1939-2018), Australian geologist on a team from the University of Wisconsin to survey the area between 1965 and 1966.
