The Quinta do Chantre is a quinta in the northern Portuguese community ( Freguesia ) Leça do Balio . It is now in the northwest of the city, R. do Chantre 287 and was built between 1732 and 1736 as a summer residence by order of Dom Domingues Barbosa, canon of Porto Cathedral . The executive architect was Nicolau Nasoni .

The floor plan of the house is rectangular. There is a chapel on the northeast side. The uniformly designed facade is determined by a small central tower that shows the insignia of the Barbosa and Albuquerque families. Also in the center there is an outside staircase that opens up the upper floor reserved for the nobles. Its windows and balconies are surrounded by finely crafted granite ornaments.

The iron gate at the main entrance of the quinta is remarkable. From there, the surrounding gardens of the quinta, which Nasoni laid out in the style of baroque gardens with numerous sculptures, open up .
