Quintus Pompeius Rufus (Praetor 63 BC)

Quintus Pompeius Rufus was a politician of the late Roman Republic .

He was praetor in 63 BC. BC and was sent to Capua on the occasion of the Catiline conspiracy so that the local gladiator schools did not fall into the hands of the conspirators ( Sallust Cat. 30, 5). In the following years (no later than 59 BC) he was governor of the province of Africa .
