The Quito Glacier ( Spanish Glaciar Quito ) is a glacier in the north of Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . With a northerly direction of flow, it flows directly east of Punta Cuenca into Guayaquil Bay .
Participants in an Ecuadorian Antarctic expedition named it around 1990 after Ecuador's capital Quito .
