The Guayaquil Bay ( English ; Spanish Ensenada Guayaquil ) is a bay on the north coast of Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located between Agüedo Point in the west and Orión Point in the east.
Scientists on an Ecuadorian expedition named it in 1990 after the city of Guayaquil in Ecuador . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2005.
