Valentin Rosier (born August 19, 1996 in Montauban ) is a French football player who has been under contract with the Portuguese first division club Sporting Lisbon since summer 2019 . He is a former French junior international.
Career
society
Valentin Rosier spent his youth with various teams, including FC Toulouse , before joining the youth team at AF Rodez in the summer of 2012 . In the 2015/16 season he was promoted to the first team of the fourth division and made 26 league appearances in this season. In the 2016/17 season he moved to the top French division for FCO Dijon . He made his debut for the first team on April 30, 2017 in a 0-0 draw against Girondins Bordeaux . In the following season 2017/18 he established himself in the starting line-up of Les Rouges and made 36 league appearances. He played this on both sides in full defense . He retained this status in the following season 2018/19 until he only had a single short assignment due to injuries in the second half of the season.
For the 2019/20 season he moved to the Portuguese first division club Sporting Lisbon , where he signed a five-year contract. He made his debut on September 15, 2019 (5th matchday) in a 1-1 draw against Boavista Porto .
National team
Valentin Rosier made his debut in the French U-21 national team on March 23, 2018 in a 3-0 away win in qualifying for the U-21 European Championship against Kazakhstan .
