Punta Cuenca ( Spanish ) is a headland on the north coast of Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 1.8 km west of Orión Point and marks the western limit of the mouth of the Quito Glacier in Guayaquil Bay .
Ecuadorian scientists named it after the city of Cuenca in Ecuador
