The Råsunda IS (IS = idrottssällskap, German sports club ) is a Swedish football club in Solna . The club played in the Swedish second division for several years .
history
The club Råsunda IS, founded in 1912, initially played in the lower class. As champions of Division 4 Stockholm Norra, the team rose to the third division for the first time in 1960. Here the club established itself in the front area; In 1962 he was runner- up in Division 3 Östra Svealand behind IK City , one point behind, and made it to the second division the following year. In Division 2 Svealand , the team finished fourth in the first year, before they missed relegation in the 1965 season with one point behind the last non-relegation place occupied by Södertälje SK .
