history

The Skytteholms IP was created in 1965. In 1990 the site was rebuilt. Since then, the stadium has had a grandstand for 3,000 spectators. Additional grandstands can be used to further increase the capacity. Originally the game was played on natural turf , since 2003 artificial turf has served as the surface. The area also includes other artificial turf pitches on which the reserve and youth teams of the AIK play their games. In addition, the men's teams from AIK and Djurgårdens IF sometimes compete on the pitch for their pre-season games.
