The Réunion weaver ( Foudia delloni ) is an extinct species of bird from the family of weaver birds (Ploceidae). It was endemic to the Mascarene island of Réunion . The bird was first mentioned in 1668 by the French traveler Charles Dellon and a second time in 1674 in Dubois. In 1776 Statius Müller described the Réunion weaver in the Planches Enluminées work as " Foudia bruante ". According to a hypothesis by Cheke and Hume, " Foudia bruante " is a color morph of the Madagascar weaver, which was detected about a hundred years after the discovery of Foudia delloni on Réunion.

The Réunion weaver reached approximately the size of a sparrow at 13 cm. When the male was ready to mate, the head, neck, throat and underside of the wings were bright red. The back and tail were brown. The belly was light. In the female and the juvenile males the head was brown. The neck and wings were red. The throat was light brown. The species was last seen shortly after 1672. The reason for its extinction is presumed to be stalking by rats.

The species name Foudia delloni was formally set up in 2008 in the book Lost Land of the Dodo by Anthony Cheke and Julian Pender Hume . However, since this description was not ICZN- compliant, Cheke and Hume prepared a new description in 2018.
