Róger Cordero Lara

Róger Cordero Lara (born November 3, 1957 ) is a former military man and has been a member of the Venezuelan National Assembly for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) since 2011 . Cordero is a representative for the state of Guárico .

In the elections for the National Assembly , Róger Cordero won the second constituency of Guáricos with 62.28% of the vote.

Various organizations claim that Cordero was involved in the Cantaura massacre . During this massacre, a guerrilla camp in the state of Anzoátegui was bombed by the Venezuelan Air Force on October 4, 1982. Cordero flew one of the planes (a Rockwell OV-10 ).

23 fighters were killed in this action. In early 2010, the human rights organization Provea asked the National Assembly to investigate Cordero's participation in the massacre.
