history

The street name is not based on a street from Roman times. It was named after the Romans because there are other streets with historical people names in this quarter, e.g. B. Frankenstrasse, Keltenstrasse, Ubierstrasse etc.

By resolution of the city council on June 12, 1914, the old Binsfelder Weg was renamed Römerstrasse.
